And it is a full understanding of the present, its pace, all its numerous facets, its openness to new emotions, to fresh, unexpected changes and uses of space. COF has reflected deeply on current trends. And it asked one of the leaders of international design to transform the suggestions made by our way of life today into a consistent furnishing project.
"Aerocaffè" interprets a coffee bar in which the space must evolve rapidly to accommodate every need, ready to change the confines of its use continuously. "Aerocaffè" does not adapt, it transforms, it re-models itself. It embodies the concept of luxury distinctive of designer ideas. Iosa Ghini and Cof have created a project designed specifically for the contemporary way of life, for clients who demand more and more architectural detail and characterisation.
The result is astonishing: a soft design where simple geometry is abandoned in favour of fluid, sinuous lines which can “mould pure, shining materials to exude evocative atmospheres”, as the designer emphasizes. The attention to detail, even the smallest touch, is astounding. “Behind the bar counter”, continues Massimo Iosa Ghini, “the harmonisation of fluid shapes resolves the use of space with functional solutions; the overall effect completes the idea of a new concept of contemporary elegance”. The result is a “coffee space” system that can be placed in any upscale setting.
